Peduli Alam, which means “take care of nature,” is a French association created in 2008, which works to improve the living conditions of 800 Indonesian families through the establishment of facilities for the collection and waste-to-energy conversion of household waste: collection bins, truck pickup and sorting center.
The project
Three tons of waste is collected every month. Peduli Alam also conducts campaigns to raise awareness on environmental protection.
Our action
In 2013, Peduli Alam expanded its activities to the manufacture of bags from recovered plastics to reduce the quantity of waste taken to the landfill. The bags are sold in hotels for tourists.
For 2014, Peduli Alam wishes to continue its actions and expand them in the region. To do that, it has requested our help to purchase a scooter and our participation in the 2014 campaigns.
Since 2011, our commitment has totaled 14,000 €.
