Karuna Shechen is a French association co-founded in 2000 by Matthieu Ricard, which works on education, health and vocational training projects in Nepal, Eastern Tibet and Northern India.
The project
Karuna supports rural schools in their management, provision of equipment and teacher training, which welcomed 10,700 children in 2018. Karuna's dispensaries and clinics provide care to more than 141,000 people each year.
Our engagement
Since 2010, we have been participating in the association’s operating costs. We have also sponsored the aid program for the earthquake victims in Yushu, Tibet and Kathmandu in Nepal.
Since 2010, our commitment has totaled 50,900 €.
