LAB DRA – TIBET

Lab Dra, which means “school,” is a French association created in 2007 that supports the establishment of community structures to serve the semi-nomadic children of the Kham region in Tibet.

 



The project Its objectives: give children sufficient skills to integrate into society and contribute to the sustainable development of the local economy. Our action In 2013, a mountain hostel with a vocational school, workshop and restaurant was built. In 2014, the association requested our help to build toilets in the hostel, and also public toilets to clean up the water in the polluted river. In parallel, Lab Dra wishes to continue the development of the hostel and provide training in hygiene and environmental preservation and ensure medical and dental follow-up.   Since 2011, our commitment has totaled 14,800 €.
