TUULLIK – GREENLAND

Tuullik, which is the name of a rare protected bird (the Great Northern Diver) that symbolizes “culture”, is a Greenlandic association created in 2013 to promote cultures and improve underprivileged young people and adults’ living conditions in the city of Uummannaq, located on the west coast of Greenland.
This island village’s isolation and the lack of extracurricular activities induce idleness.

The project All year long, the Association sets up Visual Arts workshops which provide training in drawing, painting, sculpting, the creation of objects, preparation for the Nuuk Art School entrance exam and encourage the social inclusion of people with disabilities through art therapy. Tuullik also works to preserve oral, musical and pictorial traditions that are specific to Greenlandic and Nordic culture. Our engagement We participate in the association’s operating costs.   Since 2017, our commitment has totaled 6,000 €.
