EMERGENCY IN LOMBOK

On 29 July 2018, a 6.4 earthquake struck the Lombok Island in southeastern Indonesia.
Several secondary tremors followed in August causing the death of nearly 500 people
and leaving thousands of residents homeless.

Particularly vulnerable to seismic phenomena, Indonesia is located in the heart of the Pacific Ring of Fire, a 40,000-kilometer area that stretches from New Zealand up to the south of Chile.

 



The project The Project Karma Association, which works to protect children in Southeastern Asia, has been mobilized to provide assistance to victims. Food and first aid equipment have been distributed to respond to the most urgent needs.   Our engagement In 2018, our commitment totaled 5,000 €
