EMERGENCY IN PAKISTAN

In August 2010, torrential rains related to the Asian monsoon struck Pakistan and neighboring countries. The floods devastated the entire country, causing the death of at least 1500 people.
There were 20 million victims out of a total population of 160 million people.

 



The project Action Against Hunger (ACF) set up drinking water provisions and sanitation structures and organized food security programs. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) implemented more than 40,000 consultations in 8 hospitals, 11 mobile clinics, and 8 diarrhea treatment centers and set up drinking water provisions as well as distributed hygiene kits and shelters. Jamtse Thundel helped to rebuild the most affected houses and installed a water pump to supply drinking water to the villages of Choglamsar and Amgli. Our engagement In 2010, our commitment totaled 9,000 €.
