Machak Wayra is a French association created in 2005 that works to improve the living conditions of the village communities of the José Manuel Pando province in Bolivia, where 98% of the population lives below the poverty line.
The project
The "Weaving the Future" project trains livestock farmers to transform the wool from their livestock into local crafts to increase their income.
Our action
We are helping to finance the purchase of looms which are used to manufacture traditional-quality textile products so that they can be marketed both nationally and internationally.
In 2011, our support totaled 2,000 €.
