The project
The mobile clinics provide care in general medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, psychology, pain treatment and acupuncture. Three mobile clinics roam isolated sites in Iraq, including one dedicated to providing health care to women and children. In Syria, a mobile clinic provides care to displaced populations in Aleppo.
The clinics’ mission is threefold: ensure consultations and free health care, allow for patients’ psychological monitoring and provide access to medical training (acupuncture, first aid, gynecology, radiology, biology).
Our engagement
EliseCare therefore provides medical training to refugee Syrian and Iraqi women who studied at the Kobanê or Mosul Universities before the war.
With a double objective: recruit teams who know the language, the terrain, the culture, and the psychological situation of their patients - they themselves have personally experienced the tragedies of the war, and encourage the reintegration of displaced persons. Two clinics have been established in Iraq, in the refugee camps in the Erbil and Duhok provinces.
Since 2018, our support totaled 30,000 €.
