Faced with the cold spell in Paris, La Gamelle de Jaurès launched its “Operation Winter”.
In partnership with the association Utopia 56 and the Wardrobe of Saint Bernard Church, the association has committed to finance hotel nights and to collect and distribute warm clothing and hygiene equipment to exiles in the street.
In Paris, it is estimated that 700 minors are currently sleeping in the street. In addition to the 400 hotel nights provided, La Gamelle de Jaurès has launched a project to rent a living space for about ten young people and a family called La Casa.
La Gamelle de Jaurès is still carrying out its main activity by distributing hot meals every Monday at the Porte d’Aubervilliers.
