AU FIL DU NIGER – NIGER

Au Fil du Niger, created in 2000, is an international medical, educational and environmental solidarity association that works in Niamey and in villages along the river. In two clinics located in disadvantaged neighborhoods in Niamey, Basra and Dan Gao, young doctors at the end of their training cycle and under the supervision of a department head provide care to over 16,000 people every year.

 



The project Au Fil du Niger’s vocation is to help establish stand-alone and perennial solutions for public health issues. Our action We are participating in the sanitation and mosquito nest eradication project in the Basra district in Niamey, which is based on the inhabitants’ involvement in plastic waste recycling and in the fight against malaria.   In 2012, our support totaled 5,000 €.
