On 11 March 2011, Japan was the victim of an 8.9-magnitude earthquake that triggered a tsunami, with waves reaching over ten meters and making many victims.
According to the official figures, the earthquake caused the death of over 10,000 people.
The project
To this day, the Japanese Red Cross has already mobilized nearly 300 teams of doctors and nurses. Over 200,000 people have been housed in temporary equipped shelters. Refugees are returning little by little to their home when it is possible.
