The Cargo group takes over sponsorship in 2020

This year, the Cargo Group (based in Toulouse, France), a key player in mass distribution in Europe, has decided to take over from the Fondation Insolite Bâtisseur Philippe Romero for two years, by devoting parts of its benefits to our partners associations. Funded in 2011 by eight companies within the Cargo Group, the Foundation « Engagés Solidaires » has set itself the goal of meeting the basic needs of populations living in less favored areas all around the world, by promoting concrete and operational projects. It therefore chose the sponsorship program of the Fondation Insolite Bâtisseur Philippe Romero to meet their objectives.

Thus 38,000 € of annual aid (with a commitment over two years) has been allocated to 9 associations supported by our Foundation. The associations chosen by the Foundation « Engagés Solidaires » undertake to develop activities and means of subsistence for local populations as well as to support and promote actions in favor of environmental conservation.

The chosen projects are :

Amigos de la Vida (AMI) which provides a home for abandoned or abused children in Ecuador

CIVS which takes part in the construction of classrooms in Kenya

EPICEA which provides water supply to villages in Nepal

J’irai à l’école which builds a school in Madagascar

Le Kapokier which works for the preservation and enhancement of natural resources and rural economic development by planting a medicinal forest in Burkina Faso

Medrasa du désert which builds a school in Mauritania

Nebeday works for both the preservation and enhancement of natural resources and for the economic development of the Siné Saloum regions in Senegal

Perspective Santé Binguela which is building a hospital in Cameroon

Victoir  which is working towards building a pediatric oncology service in Togo

The “Engagés Solidaires” Foundation has thus enabled us to continue our involvement in our international solidarity initiatives.
