EARTHWAKE – IVORY COAST

Earthwake is a French association created in 2014 that cleans up ocean waste by setting up a low-tech pyrolysis to process and convert plastic waste in developing countries.
Every year, 9 million tons of waste are thrown into the oceans and only 10% of plastics are recycled.

The project The Association’s objective by 2020: Recycle 15,000 tons of plastic in West Africa. Our engagement We have participated in the establishment of a recycling center for plastic waste in Abidjan which has allowed for the creation of local jobs. At the same time, we have also supported the achievement of a pyrolysis prototype which can transform plastic waste into clean fuel.   Since 2016, our commitment has totaled 6,000 €.
